The purpose of the work is a comprehensive analysis of scientific research and regulations on the terminology of expert support of justice in Ukraine and improvement in this aspect of the thesaurus of the basic Law "On Forensic Science". The subject of the research is the theoretical, organizational and procedural bases of the development of forensic activity, the laws of formation of concepts and definitions of legal support for forensic examination. Theoretical and practical results. Work on this topic at the system level was carried out for the first time. The result of the research is a scientific report on the improvement of the terminological apparatus of the basic legislation of Ukraine, which regulates the organization of state and non-state forms of forensic activity. Novelty - for the first time on the basis of the analysis of the basic terms of forensic examination the thesaurus to the basic Law of Ukraine "About forensic examination" is developed.
