The purpose of the work is to develop a scientific report on the theoretical foundations of forensic linguistic examination, which will serve as a basis for developing the fundamental principles of forensic linguistic examination. Theoretical and practical results - analyzed sources in the field of linguistics, psycholinguistics, criminology, which serve as a basis for the theoretical foundations of forensic linguistic examination in order to solve autobiographical and semantic-textual problems. The expert practice of conducting forensic linguistic examination in order to solve autobiographical and semantic-textual problems is generalized. The need for further development of theoretical principles in order to expand the range of objects, tasks, methods of self-knowledge and semantic-textual examination is determined. The main directions of further development of linguistic expertise are outlined, which will significantly increase the level of authorial and semantic-textual expertise.
