The object of the research is the process of the production structure influence on the social and economic efficiency of agricultural enterprise activities. The subject of the research is theoretical, methodical and practical issues to assess the impact of the production structure influence on the social and economic efficiency of enterprise activities. Methods of research – abstract-logical, monographic, computational-constructive, comparisons, statistical and economic methods, graphic technique and others. The socio-economic trends in the development of agriculture have been investigated; the influence of the dairy cattle breeding industry on the social and environmental component of the development of agricultural production is determined; the structure of crop area is thoroughly analyzed as a factor in the formation of social development of rural areas. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that it has received further development: a quantitative assessment of the influence of the dairy cattle breeding industry on the level of social and economic efficiency of the enterprise activity, as well as the determination of the size and structure optimal parameters of rural areas by their value. The main results obtained by the research were introduced into the activities of the PAE «Piskivske» in the Bakhmach district of the Chernigov region.
