The analysis of reactive power consumption levels at key points of the mining and processing plant network is performed. The main statistical characteristics of the distribution of consumption levels for winter and summer period are determined, as well as the recommended values ​​of compensation levels from both synchronous motors and static reactive power compensators. The maximum possibilities of the synchronous motors existing in the network to change the magnitude of the excitation current in order to reduce the company's payment for reactive power have been studied.
