The aim is to study the main anthropogenic factors and their impact on the ecological systems of the region of Western Polissya of Ukraine, to develop and propose measures aimed at preserving the biodiversity of the region. Scientific novelty of the obtained results: - for the first time: • change of biodiversity of landscapes of Western Polissya under anthropogenic influence is established; • the principles of the strategy of sustainable development of the united territorial communities were formed; • the sanitary-epidemiological condition of the territory of Rivne region was revealed (on the example of aviary complexes); -improved: • methods of studying biodiversity in different ways and terms of use of agricultural lands, as well as in forests; • ecological assessment of flora and fauna; • theoretical and environmental aspects of the formation and development of tourist and recreational systems; • approaches to studying the geoecological condition of local areas; - has been further developed: - application of the concept of sustainable development; - assessment of the state of phytocenoses; - man-made pollution of atmospheric air and the surrounding agrosphere. The significance and practical application of the results is that the obtained results allowed to establish the sanitary-epidemiological condition of the territory, to develop a strategy of sustainable development of united territorial communities and an action plan for five years, to assess the state of phytocenoses of Volyn Polissya. According to the results of research, dissertations were published, defended, held and participated in scientific and practical conferences, All-Ukrainian competitions of student research papers and All-Ukrainian Olympiads.
