BANKNOTES OF UKRAINE, METHODOLOGY, PAPER MONEY, PRINTING METHODS, SECURITY ELEMENTS Object of research - information on the technology of making banknotes of Ukraine; banknotes of Ukraine of different generations of issues. The purpose of the work is to develop a methodology for forensic examination of Ukrainian banknotes. Research methods and equipment - general (dialectical) method of cognition, general scientific (observation, measurement, description, comparison, identification), special research methods, including forensic and other (technical and natural) sciences: visual, microscopic, photographic in different spectral ranges, including UV and infrared rays, magnetic control, etc. All samples of banknotes of independent Ukraine are systematized by generations, denominations, images of signatures of the heads of the National Bank of Ukraine, who headed the NBU in different periods of time. The security elements of banknotes of corresponding denominations and differences of security elements depending on the year of issue of banknotes in circulation are given. Descriptions and images of commemorative banknotes issued by the National Bank of Ukraine in limited quantities are presented. The concept of "banknotes with defects of the manufacturer" is defined, examples of images of banknotes with production defects are given. Theoretical and practical results - created "Methods of research of banknotes of Ukraine", which provides methods of research of banknotes, equipment that should be used in the study; the sequence of research and criteria of control of security elements of banknotes of Ukraine which are summarized in the table are offered. Novelty In the presented report for the first time the features of security elements used and used in the manufacture of banknotes of Ukraine are summarized, and a method of research of paper money for banknotes of Ukraine is created.
