The subject of research is the change in the properties of composite materials, their effective mechanical characteristics and strength parameters as a result of changes in their physical and chemical structure at high temperatures. Research methods - Generalization of relations for calculating the elastic characteristics of woven composite, development of mathematical models based on approximate analysis of thermal and electromagnetic fields, as well as simplified fields of deformation and stress to provide a description of the behavior of composites. Development of numerical procedures to predict the effective characteristics of elasticity with the required predetermined accuracy. Experimental and computational determination of mechanical characteristics of polymeric orthotropic bodies at high temperatures. Generalization of the model for predicting the mechanical behavior and strength of polymer structures that ablates. Experimental study of mechanical characteristics of epoxy woven carbon plastics reinforced with unidirectional carbon fibers under tension and compression. Investigation of forecasting effective mechanical characteristics and strength parameters of woven polymeric carbon plastics, ablution at high temperatures, based on the parameters of non-reinforced epoxy matrix and fiber bundle in the process of thermal oxidative degradation. Comparison with experimental data obtained from tests of samples. The investigated materials are layered composite materials, epoxy woven carbon plastics, reinforced with unidirectional and woven carbon structures, used for structural elements of aircraft and missile technology.
