Purpose of study: analysis of existing legislative acts, regulations and technical literature, introduction of modern technologies and development on their basis an Amendment № 2 DBN V.2.3-4: 2015 “Highways. Part I. Design. Part II. Construction” (hereinafter - Amendment № 2). Development of Amendment № 2 is performed in order to increase the level of traffic safety, reduce the negative consequences (social and economic losses and damages) from accidents, to improve the quality of work in the designing and construction of roads, expand and clarify the requirements of these standards in terms of improving of operational performance of roads and streets in terms of safety and their compliance with high world and European standards, as well as the development of regulatory and technical framework of urban road management on the issues of designing and construction of roads. Research method - analysis of initial data, monitoring of current legislative acts, regulations and technical literature, generalization, method of analogy. Level of implementation – the developed Amendment № 2 will establish the requirements for designing and construction of roads. Scope - the results of this work will be used by road engineers and technicians responsible for the designing, construction and maintenance of roads and by contractors representatives.
