An original logical analysis of semiotic structures of culture is offered. It is shown that our understanding of social reality is largely mediated by media symbols, and it is through this channel that the media influence the construction of social reality and influence social behavior. Important for understanding national memory is the conclusion that any thing or phenomenon becomes a symbol only in a social context, being center of dialogue. This allows to find the main symbols that unite society. The philosophical generalization of semiotic analysis involves their consideration through the relationship and interaction of past, present and future. Each cultural phenomenon, embodied in a symbolic form, is an answer to questions that arose in the past, but pose a task and require answers from the future. The research was carried out with the involvement of a large number of foreign sources in philosophy, logic, philosophy of science, semiotics, biosemiotics, culturology, cultural anthropology, etc., which contributes to their introduction into scientific circulation in Ukraine. Published articles (a total of 96 publications), which contain the original results of the study. A collective monograph has been prepared for publication.
