The object of research is the process of optical measurements of the positions of artificial satellites of the Earth in geostationary orbit. The purpose of the work is to study the influence of different frame exposures on the accuracy of determining the angular coordinates of artificial satellites of the Earth in geostationary orbit. Research method - methods of experiment planning, probability theory and mathematical statistics. Measurement accuracy analysis was performed for all space objects detected in a series of frames taken in four areas of geostationary orbit with three different exposures by three telescopes of the National Space Control and Testing Center. The main criterion for the accuracy of positional measurements was the generalized standard error of estimating the position of a space object for a linear uniform model of its motion in the international celestial coordinate system, independent of the two coordinates. The analysis showed that all observations have a sufficiently high accuracy of coordinate measurements, which depends on both the exposure (less - better) and the scale of the image (less - better). The accuracy of direct ascent measurements is slightly lower than the accuracy of inclination measurements, which increases with exposure. A possible reason is the lower accuracy of determining the center of the images of the reference stars extended along the direct ascent. The accuracy of determining the apparent brightness also depends on the exposure and scale. It is established that the accuracy decreases with increasing scale and exposure.
