Purpose: 1) to summarize the available literary paleoclimatic, chronostratigraphic, lithopedological and palynological data on the sediments of the forest formation of Ukraine, in the future - for the general correlation of the results with paleoclimatic constructions according to geomagnetic studies; 2) perform detailed stratification and lithological-paleopedological study of forest-soil sections of the Middle Dnieper, studied together with geomagnetologists, in the future - for parallel layer-by-layer comparison of the correlation of magnetic, lithopedological and palynological indicators of paleoclimatic changes. Research methods: stratigraphic, lithological, paleopedological, cryolithological, palynological, geochronological, geomorphological and paleogeomorphological, paleoclimatic and paleolandscape. The results of previous lithological-paleopedological, chronostratigraphic and palynological researches and paleoclimatic constructions performed on them according to more than 180 reference sections of forest-soil formation (in particular, 50 of them according to the results of own researches) are generalized and systematized according to the unified form. The generalization is based on the short-period stages of the Pleistocene, which is extremely important for correlation with the substages and events of the oceanic oxygen isotope scale and with the phases of changes in magnetic susceptibility within the main forest and, especially, soil climatolites of Quaternary forest-soil form.  Product Description popup.authors Bonchkovsyj Oleksandr S.
