Purpose: construction of the theory of wave processes and effects in layered, waveguide and focusing, complex and active artificial and natural environments; detection of new wave structures and effects arising from resonant, active and nonlinear synergistic processes; finding opportunities for effective control over wave processes in resonant artificial media; determination of factors influencing the characteristics of waves in an open dynamic system ZNPS. Research methods: a single metamaterial approach to modeling wave processes in artificial and natural environments, analytical and numerical methods, ground and satellite measurements, spectral data processing. At the first stage, an analytical model of electromagnetic wave propagation in a nonlinear active hyperbolic field concentrator (NAGCP) was developed. The model is suitable for the study of active control of field characteristics and determination of the main nonlinear wave structures in NAGCP. A model of superheterodyne transformation of pulse gain in layered structures metamaterial - semiconductor with negative differential conductivity - metamaterial from terahertz range to infrared is developed. The simulation showed the possibility of the existence of graphene / fluorografen (semiconductor / dielectric) structures based on the graphene layer. A model has been developed that will allow solving the question of adequate upper boundary conditions (placed in the upper ionosphere or magnetosphere) using quasi-static and dynamic approximations. An analytical model has been developed to determine the characteristics of its own very low-frequency (LF) complex modes in the Earth-ionosphere waveguide, as well as the parameters when excited by a current source.
