Object of research: functional conditions of qualified athletes at different stages of training The subject of the study: the relationship between somatic, vegetative and sensory physiological systems in skilled athletes in conditions of intense muscle activity Research methods: methods of theoretical analysis and generalization of data from special literature; methods of logical and empirical research; pedagogical observation of the training activity of the subjects; pedagogical experiment; biomedical (determination of the content of T-lymphocytes, T-lymphocytes of helpers and suppressors, the content of immunoglobulins of classes A, G, M, E in the blood), functional tests and methods of mathematical statistics. Results of the study: The main results of the last stage of the study were the study of the influence of systematic exercise of power rights on the indicators of cellular and humoral immunity and physical performance of young men and the establishment of a connection between the visceral and somatic systems. The paper shows the positive effect of a two-month course of strength training on the humoral and cellular links of immunity, as well as on the physical performance of athletes, basketball players and young men who have not been involved in sports before.
