Comparative analysis of existing devices for determining the concentration and size of aerosol particles in atmospheric air showed that it is promising to use optical sensors: they have small dimensions, low cost and the same measurement error as other sensors. The AirVisual portable photometer was upgraded and adapted to the existing conditions and its operation indoors and outdoors was tested. The basic scheme of the optoelectronic device for determining the concentration of aerosol particles in the environment has been developed and a portable low-cost device has been manufactured according to this scheme, which allows to simultaneously measure the concentration of PM1 aerosol particles in the air; PM2.5; PM10, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, date and time of measurements, as well as the coordinates in which the measurements are made by this device, altitude and speed, if the device is located on a moving platform. The obtained data is stored in the device memory. The possibility of transferring these measurements in real time to a remote server on the Internet is shown using GPRS technology. Several such devices, located on a specific site or mobile platforms, can be directly combined for monitoring into one network. A database of daily measurements received at the address of IFN NASU was created and its preliminary analysis was performed.
