Research methods: systematic analysis of theoretical research, physical and mathematical modeling and forecasting. It is shown that in order to reduce the negative impact of wastewater hydrosphere with the use of traditional technologies there is a need for additional wastewater treatment from nitrogen and phosphorus compounds and to improve technological schemes and treatment plants. The main disadvantages of modern methods of wastewater treatment from nitrogen and phosphorus compounds are the need to allocate large areas for the placement of treatment facilities, as well as for the establishment of sanitary protection zones around them. They do not allow to obtain enough potential renewable energy sources. It is shown that one of the most promising methods of treatment may be the use of wastewater as a medium for the cultivation of microalgae in closed-type photobioreactors with the subsequent production of third-generation liquid biofuels. An ecologically safe and energy-efficient technological scheme of purification using photobioreactors for removal of nitrogen and phosphorus compounds has been developed. The design of a photobioreactor is developed and offered, which allows to provide temperature stabilization of the system and to increase the efficiency of its work in the cold season. Ukraine's patent for a utility model was obtained. Potential areas of use are utilities, sewage treatment plants for mechanical and biological wastewater treatment.
