Three different major sequences of SpSTM-1, SpSTM-2 and SpSTM-3, were cloned into the pIHBV16 expression vector to further test their functionality and physiological effects in plants. The possibility of transient expression with a vector in which the target sequence (GFP gene) is under the control of a modified U4 promoter was also investigated, and a part of the sweet potato leaf curl virus (SPLCV) genome was added, which provides multiple copies of the target in the cytoplasm of a plant cell. The possibility of high-yielding and well-reproducible transient expression of reporter protein in the biomass of Lactuca sativa cultivars has been demonstrated, as well as the fundamental possibility of expression in Landoltia punctata duckweed. It has been shown that chitosan affects the content of dopamine in a number of plant species, but different species respond to its content in the environment differently; the reaction also depends on the concentration of the elicitor. Salinization, modeled by adding sodium chloride to the nutrient medium, causes the same reaction in different plant species - the dopamine content decreases sharply and this decrease is dose-dependent.
