The relevance of the chosen topic is due to the fact that the current stage of scientific and technological progress requires intensification of mental work of student youth, which places high demands on special professional and pedagogical preparation of secondary school teachers and physical education in particular. The purpose of the project is to expand and deepen knowledge in the field of professional skills of future specialists in the field of physical culture and sports and the formation of professional readiness for practical activities. The purpose of the study determines the need to solve the following tasks: to theoretically substantiate and experimentally determine the levels of formation of professional preparation of physical education teachers for the organization of extracurricular activities; to substantiate the structure of professional preparation of physical education teachers for the organization of extracurricular activities, to clarify the criteria, indicators and levels of its formation; to develop and implement a model of professional preparation of physical education teachers for the organization of extracurricular activities; theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the pedagogical conditions of professional preparation of physical education teachers for the organization of extracurricular activities; to diagnose the levels of formation of professional preparation of physical education teachers for extracurricular activities. Scientific novelty of the project: the model of professional preparation of physical education teachers for the organization of extracurricular activities is theoretically substantiated and developed; the pedagogical conditions of professional preparation of physical education teachers for the organization of extracurricular work are revealed and substantiated.
