The object of research is the design of fire protection systems for buildings and structures. The subject of research is the rationing of requirements for the design of fire protection systems of buildings and structures. Research method - analytical (analysis of regulations, state building codes, standards, other regulations and information on the Internet). During the work: statistical data on fires in buildings and structures were analyzed; requirements for the design of fire protection systems are analyzed; substantiated the requirements for fire protection systems of buildings and structures; the project of the new edition of the state building norms concerning designing of systems of fire protection is developed. Based on the results of the work, proposals for the adoption of international and European standards for fire protection systems as national standards of Ukraine were also prepared. Adoption of national standards is provided by their approval by the order of the national standardization body, the functions of which are performed by the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Research and Training Center for Standardization, Certification and Quality". State building codes are expected to be approved by order of the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine. Once approved, state building codes will be used by design organizations to design fire protection systems for buildings and structures and by developers of building codes for specific buildings and structures, as well as by central executive bodies during state supervision and control.
