Compressed air is used as a spray agent. Experimental studies of liquid spraying processes were performed at the DTEK Kurakhivska TPP test bench. The main flow and barometric indicators of the hydraulic vortex nozzle when spraying liquid are defined. Experimental pilot tests of the quality of the prototype of a hydro-vortex nozzle during the combustion of M-100 fuel oil at the DTEK Kurakhivska TPP power boiler were carried out. During these tests, high-quality ignition and efficient combustion of hydrocarbon fuel took place. The burning of the fuel torch is stable, bright yellow, without visually noticeable afterburning. For full-fledged starts of the boiler unit on hydraulic vortex nozzles additional costs for auxiliary equipment (powerful compressor, additional system of pipelines on the boiler) and change of the scheme of operation of fuel oil menage of TPP are required.
