The object of research is the processes of energy consumption by a transformer substation. The purpose of the work is to substantiate measures to increase the level of energy efficiency and develop recommendations for eliminating energy losses. Research methods - mathematical modeling of the process of electricity transmission through the elements of distribution networks, methods of experimental measurement of electricity parameters, the theory of experimental planning and measurements, statistical processing and analysis of the results. Calculations of technological losses of electricity during its transportation and distribution in substation networks, which reach 7.6… 12.2%, or, taking into account the non-operating course of transformers and the actual voltage level in the network, the level of losses is 40095… 45543 kWh. Losses of electric energy during its transportation and distribution are caused by: insufficient level of its reactive power; suboptimal loading of power transformers with a factor of 0.01… 0.57; losses due to reduced quality of electricity.
