The purpose of the work is theoretical substantiation and development of practical recommendations on directions of improvement of mechanisms of public administration of national security of Ukraine in the conditions of integration of Ukraine into the European and Euro-Atlantic spaces. In the first time: within the study of Ukraine's participation in economic cooperation with the Baltic-Black Sea countries, it was established that it is the basis for expanding mutually beneficial economic cooperation and solving regional economic problems. Economic cooperation with these countries is a guarantee for Ukraine’s European integration, as such cooperation creates a system of stable ties between the regions of Ukraine and the countries of the Baltic-Black Sea region, which are already members of the EU and satisfy its standards. Over time, this may expand the opportunities for Ukraine's inclusion in pan-European economic integration processes; the experience of Western European and Balkan countries in joining the European and Euro-Atlantic areas was studied: it was determined that Croatia has in its historical and strategic development various bilateral and multilateral mechanisms, which today have become especially relevant and allow to talk about the need and benefits of their study. our country on the path of integration into NATO and the EU. Improved: approaches to study the experience of foreign countries in exercising democratic civilian control over the security sector within Ukraine's integration into the Euro-Atlantic area, based on which it was found that Ukraine does not sufficiently implement the positive experience of politically developed countries in regulating parliamentary control over “law enforcement agencies”.
