However, practice has shown that it is not always effective. The main disadvantage of industrial crossing - the lack of a guaranteed effect of heterosis, its instability. This led to the emergence of a new form of intensification of livestock production - the hybridization system. The effect of hybridization depends on the genetic construct, the level of productivity of the starting lines and their combination. Hybridization of pigs is one of the main factors in the production of high quality pork in the world.At present in Ukraine, pig meat is obtained mainly from purebred and domestic animals, with the share of hybrid pigs, according to various estimates, ranging from 30 to 50%. Despite the fact that scientific research and practical experience have proven the importance of the hybridization method to increase the efficiency of pig farming (feed costs per 1 kg of growth are reduced from 3.6 to 2.4 kg, meat yield in carcasses increases by 4-6%) , the effectiveness of this method in our country at the present stage remains low, because there are no effective developments, the introduction of which in the practice of pig breeding would allow to obtain a stable, guaranteed effect of heterosis.In this regard, the subject of our research was aimed at developing scientifically sound methods of hybridization and determining the optimal combinations of specialized lines and breeds of domestic pigs and the best representatives of foreign selection, to obtain hybrid young with the involvement of genetic markers Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2021-06-29 Close
