The theoretical generalization of conceptual approaches to innovative development and use of innovative potential of the enterprise allowed to establish ambiguity in the interpretation of the concept of innovative development of the enterprise: introduction of new business processes, taking into account aspects of intellectual property. Innovation in the enterprise is seen as a result, process, product or service. In particular, new consumer goods, production methods, transportation and there are those innovations as a result. That is, given the cyclical nature of development, it is reasonable that each previous innovation is a prerequisite for the next, and each subsequent is the result of the previous one. As a result, innovation acts both as a prerequisite and as a result at the same time. In view of this, it is established that innovation in any direction of economic research should be considered as an element inseparable from the level gradation, and, accordingly, further innovation management is exclusively a component inseparable from the macro, meso and micro levels. The object of research is the processes of managing the innovative development of the enterprise. The subject of the study is a set of theoretical and methodological principles and practical aspects of improving the management of innovative development of enterprises in the energy sector of the economy.
