The purpose of the work is to determine the content and features of administrative and legal support of forensic institutions of Ukraine, as well as to outline the main directions of its improvement. The methodological basis of research work is a set of general scientific and special scientific methods, the use of which is determined by the specifics of the subject of research. Theoretical results - generalized system of administrative and legal support of forensic institutions of Ukraine, which is defined as consistent in content and hierarchically organized in accordance with the legal force and jurisdiction of forensic institutions set of regulations of national law and international legal standards in this sphere. The practical results are that the above conclusions and proposals can be used in: research - as a basis for further theoretical and legal research on the legal support of the functioning of forensic institutions, as well as for the development of legal sciences; branches of law-making activity - for the purpose of improvement of the domestic legislation during preparation and specification of structure and the maintenance of the current legislative and by-laws on questions of administrative and legal maintenance of activity of judicial expert institutions of Ukraine; law enforcement activity - to increase the efficiency of the subjects of administrative and legal support of the activity of forensic institutions of Ukraine.
