The purpose of the work is to build a mathematical model for computer modeling of the thermal convection process near a linear source of pollution and a mathematical model of surface modification by laser radiation; determination of the influence of the composite cathode material on the microstructure and phase distribution of alloying elements during pulse-plasma coating; study of spectral-optical characteristics of ultrafine particles based on A2B6. Research methods: numerical simulation, photoluminescent analysis, optical and electron microscopy, energy dispersion spectroscopy, microhardness measurements, electrical measurements, tribological tests, video recording. The paper describes the microstructure, phase distribution of chemical elements and tribological characteristics of coatings obtained by pulse-plasma treatment. The optical characteristics of ultrafine systems based on A2B6 compounds obtained by various physical methods are presented. Mathematical models of surface modification by laser radiation are investigated and described. A mathematical analysis of the process of diffusion of solid particles during thermal and concentration convection from different sources of environmental pollution is presented.
