The object of research - the processes of improvement and harmonization of the national regulatory framework in the field of construction with the European regulatory framework in terms of standardization of requirements for the installation of facade insulation of buildings. The subject of research - the requirements of regulations in the field of construction to the class of reaction to fire of the material of the external facade insulation. The purpose of the work is to determine ways to improve the rationing of requirements for facade insulation structures depending on the purpose and height of buildings, the flammability group of insulation and finishing materials and their harmonization with the regulatory framework of the European Union. Research methods: analytical, expert evaluations. The paper analyzes domestic and foreign regulations (Slovakia, Austria, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Germany, Romania, Russia, Poland, Croatia) in terms of fire safety requirements for the installation of external facade insulation based on the criteria of conditional height house, class of reaction to fire, the need for fire barriers (belts), the thickness of the layer of facade insulation. The results of the work can be taken into account during the development of the draft amendment to DBN B.1.1-7:2016 "Fire safety of construction sites. Terms"
