 The scientific research topic has mainly resulted in: thirteen defended PhD and three doctoral dissertations, seventeen monographs (nine individual, eight collective), three textbooks, the content of which corresponded to the general theme "Right-Bank Ukraine, Volyn-Zhytomyr region in the late 18th- early 21st century: socio-economic, nation- and state-building aspects ". The scientific novelty is consistent with the main idea of the topic and implies the need to move away from the usual ethnocentric interpretation of Ukrainian history, with special emphasis on its polyethnicity, which fully reflects the current situation in Ukraine associated with the formation of a political (civic) nation. The emphasis on everyday history, the use of oral history tools, and memory studies also confirm both the novelty and relevance of research conducted within the topic. The outlined approaches are embodied in monographs, dissertation research, and other publications that have been published and defended during the ten years of the topic development.
