The object of research is the landscape plantings of the Trostyanets Arboretum. The purpose of the work is to ensure the longevity of the Trostyanets park complex, the maximum preservation of its plant gene pool and the original decorative and artistic merits of the park. The task of research. Analysis and assessment of the state of landscape plantations of the arboretum, development and implementation of practical measures for their optimization. Research method. Research in the arboretum "Trostyanets" was conducted using direct and indirect methods common in dendrology, phytocenology and geobotany. The expediency and necessity of research in this direction is caused by more than 180 years of existence of the park, during which there were changes in the objects of garden and park architecture due to the dynamics of artificial and natural processes, including constant changes in forms and structures of composite park elements. tanks of park structures due to intensive natural restoration of unwanted tree and shrub species; waste and elimination of a few exotic species and forms and low-resistant rocks. All this over time leads to a significant transformation of park landscapes and disharmony of artistic expression of park landscapes. As a result of the performed works the analysis of a condition and the changes which have taken place in park landscapes has been carried out; the taxonomic and age structure of landscape-forming introducers and their phytocoenotic relationships with local rocks have been studied; proposed and implemented specific measures to ensure the optimization of park landscapes and their care.
