Subject of research – is the historical and metaphysical problems of human existence in culture. The purpose of the research are the anthropological foundations of philоsophy, cultural studies and historical science. Research methods – a comprehensive methodology is applied : both philosophical and general scientific research methods are used, among which the main ones are theoretical methods, first of all : historical; analytical and synthetic; the method of ascent from the abstract to the concrete; system analysis method; methods of generalization, explanation, classification; the principle of dialectical fluidity, mutability of being; the principle of socio-historical determinism. Empirical methods are used, in particular observation, description and factors of cultural analysis : biography, dialogism, phenomenological and comparative analysis. The personalized approach is attributed as a theoretical and methodological factor in cultural analysis. An attempt is made to rethink the concept of aesthetic experience, in relation to which the concept of an aesthetic object is introduced in a narrow sense, that is, in the context of the perception of a work of art. For the first time, the definition of aesthetic experience is proposed not in the traditional context of expanding the existing experience, its enrichment, etc. Systematization, but as a process of filling the sensory deficit that is formed in contact with a work of art – an aesthetic object. It is proved that aesthetic experience should be studied as a process of interaction of the sensory apparatus with an aesthetic object. Then both evaluation and reflection on the content of the object of evaluation act as secondary, derivative components. That is, the perception of an aesthetic object should be thought from the point of view of the emergence of an aesthetic need and its satisfaction.
