The mouth of the Bystry arm was characterized by the highest species richness, the maximum number of invertebrates, algae and fish species among the studied water bodies, and the smallest number of aquatic macrophyte species. The summer period was characterized by greater species richness of all studied groups with the exception of phytoplankton, the total species richness of which was higher in autumn. Saprobiological assessment of water quality by algae organisms did not reveal significant differences between the studied areas (β-mesosaprobic zone). According to the indicators of benthic invertebrates, Bystry arm, like other watercourses (except for the Tsyganka branch in the autumn period), belongs to the oligo-β-mesosaprobic waters. According to the biotic indices BBI and BMWP, the water in the mouth of the Bystyry arm corresponds to the I-II quality class (pure-fairly clean) of water, while in other estuaries the water quality class varies from I (pure water) to III (moderately polluted water). In the composition of biotic complexes found 10 alien species: 2 species of algae and fish and 6 - benthic invertebrates. Alien species of fish, benthic mollusks and crustaceans can reach significant quantitative indicators (up to 84% of their total values). According to the general results of the ecological condition, the mouth of the Bystry arm belongs to the III class (moderate ecological condition) in the autumn period and to the IV class (poor ecological condition) - in the summer. However, the results of hydrobiological studies did not reveal the suppression of aquatic groups, the ecological condition of the site is characterized by high biodiversity due to the creation of an additional habitat - a protective dam of the access channel Product Description popup.authors Abramyuk Ihor I Zorina-Sakharova Kateryna Ye Liashenko Artem V Pohorielova Maryna Serhiivna Savytskyi Oleksandr L Sereda Tetiana M Trylis Volodymyr V popup.nrat_date 2021-08-30 Close
