The subject of research is Ukraine's participation in integration processes. The purpose of the work is to theoretically substantiate the intensification of globalization processes at the end of the XX-beginning of the XXI century, as well as to determine the prospects for the development of globalization processes. The methodological basis of research work is based on a systematic general theoretical understanding of the achievements of domestic and foreign scientists to study the problems of optimal participation of the Ukrainian economy in globalization. In the process of research work a wide range of tools of scientific research methods was used, namely: historical-logical method; methods of quantitative and qualitative comparison, analogies, observation, balance sheet and statistical methods; analysis, synthesis, systems approach, abstraction and forecasting; induction, deduction, method of program-target approach, imaginary experiment and substantiation; method of theoretical generalization.
