In particular, it is found that the biggest fears of the population associated with a pandemic are worries about relatives due to the threat of complications from COVID-19; worries about relatives / loved ones because of the threat of getting sick; the risk of not receiving adequate medical care due to diseases not related to COVID-19. In the conditions of forming the habit of living in a situation of permanent anxiety, people, on the one hand, are tired of the need to comply with quarantine and thereby underestimate the threat of the disease for themselves, and on the other hand, they experience psychological tension and stress due to worry for their relatives and for themselves. Personal perception of a threat depends on social status, value system, feeling of security or insecurity, and the like. Citizens do not trust the official information about the number of infected and the severity of the disease. Thanks to the creation of a model of specialized medical information tools, the main features of medical information during the COVID-19 pandemic have been identified and the professional assessment of communications in the field of specialized medical information and personal safety has been improved, in particular with regard to means of combating disinformation and fakes, methods of countering information attacks, and the peculiarities of the influence of newsbreaks for the audience and the like.
