Registration Date 13-09-2021 Organization Kharkiv National Medical University popup.description2 Studies of adolescents in the main and 1st control groups revealed differences in the structure of inflammatory periodontal disease (PID). They consisted in the fact that in adolescents with menstrual dysfunction (PMF) chronic catarrhal gingivitis was registered 1.4 times less often than in the group without PMF. Conversely, more severe forms of the disease (hypertrophic gingivitis and chronic periodontitis) were registered 3.5 times more often in the main group. When analyzing the severity of chronic catarrhal gingivitis, it was found that its mild course was characteristic of the control and was 1.9 times more common in them (57.1%) than in the main group (30%). Moderate course of the disease was observed in 36.7% of patients in the control group and 1.9 times more often in the main group (70%). As for the severe course of gingivitis, the proportion of such patients in the main group was 10%, and in the control 3 times less often. Thus, PMF contributes to the development of more severe forms of inflammatory periodontal disease in adolescent girls. In addition to ZZP, PMF negatively affects the manifestations of dental caries. The high intensity of caries 4 times more often (p <0.05) was found in the main group (30%) than in the control (6.7%). Determining the state of oral hygiene of patients using the index of YA Fedorov, VV Volodkina and the simplified index showed that no significant differences between the groups in their values. This indicates that the identified differences in the groups regarding the severity of PPP are due to PMF. Cytological examination of smears of gum tissue showed that patients in the main group compared with the norm (healthy) showed a significant decrease in the number of nucleated cells by 1.4 times, non-nuclear keratinized cells by 1.9 times, and an increase in the number of polymorphonuclear leukocytes in 3, 5 times, intact monocytes 2 times, as well as epithelial cells with vacuolated cytoplasm 5.2 times Product Description popup.authors Kliuchka Yevgenia O.
