The purpose of the work is to develop projects for degassing of excavation sections of the mine "Stepova" and recommendations for the release of the output air stream from the preparatory face to the treatment and on the ВMP preparatory workings of the mine. Research methods – generalization and analysis of results, methods mat. statistics, calculations by standard methods. As a result of the work, the mining-geological and mining-technical characteristics of the excavation sections and dead-end workings of the «Stepova» mine of the PSD "Mine management «Pershotravenske» of PJSC "DFEK Pavlohradvugillya" were analyzed. The calculation of the expected methane release within the excavation sections 153 and 176 of the C6 formation lava, air flow for aeration of treatment workings and excavation sections, parameters and mode of degassing by wells, required diameters of the gas pipeline are performed. "Measures to control the degassing system of excavation sites during fires in mine workings" have been developed. The "Project of degassing of the excavation section 153 of the lava of the C6 formation" and "The project of degassing of the excavation section 176 of the lava of the C6 formation" were developed. Developed "Recommendations for dust and gas safety of work on the dead-end production of 153 side lanes when releasing into the fresh stream of air supplied for its ventilation, the output ventilation air flow from the dead-end production of the split furnace 153 lava". The results of the implementation of developments – the application of the developed recommendations allowed to ensure gas safety during mining, which is of great socio-economic and environmental importance.
