The volume-structural transformations in steels during pressure treatment. Research subject. The regularities of the influence of the compression regime on the volume-structural transformations in steels during rolling. Purpose. To develop new scientifically based technologies for rolling quality management due to volume-structural transformations in metal products to get their desired properties. Research method consists in theoretical generalization of the results of the rolling process in order to increase accuracy, improve the quality of rolled products, based on the calculation methods of solid medium mechanics, determining the volume of deformation, detection of compression modes and energy consumption for rolling. The results of the study of compression modes when rolling sheets, changes in the metal's structure in the deformation center, improved the method of calculating the volume of the deformation cell formed during rolling, proposed a method of calculating rational modes of compression during rolling, which will provide the desired internal structure of the metal deformation center at minimum energy consumption, a method for determining the cost of energy parameters and energy balance during rolling. The techniques allow to control the quality of rolled products by obtaining a rational structure of the metal with minimal energy consumption. The proposed technology reduces energy consumption for the process by approximately 8-10% by reducing the rolling force by 6-8% and the heating temperature of the metal before hot processing, which reduces the cost of rolling production when obtaining sheet products.
