The main text of the work is set out on 136 pages. This study is designed to identify the provisions of the association agreement that need to be revised and justify specific changes that should be made to the text of the agreement. In addition, the mechanisms of domestic industrial and foreign economic policy of the state, which domestic business needs to form and maintain a competitive position in European and other foreign markets, are studied. To solve these problems, the first section analyzes the dynamics and structural changes in trade between Ukraine and the EU in the periods before and after the radical liberalization of trade between them. The main achievements and challenges for the domestic sectors of the economy that have arisen in connection with the change in the trade regime with the EU countries have been identified. Particular attention is paid to the peculiarities of trade in products for which the EU has introduced duty-free tariff quotas. The second section contains the results of a survey of domestic exporters to the EU in a number of key sectors of the economy, as well as experts in international trade on current issues of access of Ukrainian products to European markets. In the third section, using the latest methods, an analysis of promising areas and opportunities for intensification of Ukraine's foreign trade relations with the EU under the conditions of optimizing the bilateral trade regime and the use of comprehensive mechanisms and measures of state support of production and export potential in domestic practice. The fourth section summarizes the specific changes that should be made to the current version of the agreement on in-depth and comprehensive FTA.
