We also aim to demonstrate the value of Rivne amber as the priceless source of information about the biodiversity of the past and, at the same time, as the threat to modern biodiversity due to uncontrolled mining. Methods: field research on the Carpathians and Polissia territories, laboratory experiments and cameral data processing. Main results and their novelty: the first multifaceted field study and collection of model groups of Hymenoptera were conducted on the Pollissia territories of varied anthropogenic modification degrees including areas subjected to illegal amber mining; based on comparative material, indicator properties of Diapriidae were preliminarily assessed at indigenous and anthropogenically modified locations; the causes for the mixed character of late Eocene European ambers myrmecofauna discussed; population structure and biology of dangerous invasive species Lasius neglectus Van Loon et al., 1990 studied; new recent and fossil taxa of Ichneumonidae, Eulophidae, Encyrtidae and Formicidae described.
