To prevent the agglomeration of CdS nanoparticles, a set of techniques has been developed, such as stabilization of nanoparticles in the synthesis process using 1-thioglycerol and polyacrylic acid of different molecular weight as a stabilizer. The influence of 1-thioglycerol and polyacrylic acid concentration on the properties of the obtained colloidal solutions of CdS nanoparticles was investigated. When polyacrylic acid with a molar mass of 1800 and 100000 g / mol was used as a stabilizer, stable colloidal solutions of CdS nanoparticles with an average size of 2 and 4 nm were obtained. The phase and elemental composition of the obtained CdS nanoparticles were studied. It is shown that CdS quantum dots have a cubic crystal structure with a lattice parameter a = 5.82 Å. The optical properties of the obtained colloidal solutions of CdS quantum dots are investigated. Compaction modes were developed and samples of CdS quantum dot films with different packing densities were obtained by the spin-coating method on modified quartz substrates.
