The purpose of the work is to study oxygen-containing compounds for use as adsorbents and flame retardants. Research methods - theoretical studies of existing compounds used as adsorbents and flame retardants: logical analysis of information, scientific generalization, a systematic approach to the formation of scientific research problems. According to the previously developed program of experimental researches the theoretically substantiated technological and hardware aspects for production in the form of filamentary crystals of the following connections are executed and theoretically substantiated: BaTi4O9, BaTiO3, SrTiO3, CaTiO3, CaTi2O4, K2Ti6O13, YBa2Cu3O7. In addition to the previously mentioned areas of use of these compounds in the form of filamentary crystals, it is experimentally proven that these compounds are used as active sorbents and materials to create on their basis matrices for immobilization of radioactive waste.
