Technologies and technical means have been developed to increase the economic and environmental efficiency of the use of renewable energy sources in the conditions of Ukraine. Engineering and design work was carried out to improve the efficiency of individual units, components and mechanisms of existing systems, algorithms for the operation of control and monitoring systems. A technique has been developed for studying the near-surface layers of the Earth for the construction of shallow geothermal systems using heat pumps. Methodological foundations have been developed for the optimal construction and operation of both individual components and the whole complexes of renewable energy sources, depending on the location and changes (instability) of operating conditions. An engineering technique has been developed for the design of technical means for the use of renewable energy sources under different conditions of their functioning. Recommendations have been developed for the selection and implementation of the most promising renewable energy sources in Ukraine. The work is a completed scientific work and an example of well-coordinated joint work of scientists, design engineers and programmers. As a result, new design and technological solutions were proposed, which were brought to the stage of prototyping and prototypes, and in some cases were introduced in heat supply and air conditioning systems of industrial enterprises. 13 patents for invention and utility model were obtained. An environmentally friendly coolant that is not aggressive to metal products has been developed, for which the technical conditions TU U 20.5-01432032-014: 2915.
