The objectives of the study were comprehensive and aimed for achieving the settled goal. They were based on a systematic approach and their implementation ensured the achievement of the research goal. The study volumes were calculated and provided representative results. Achieving the goal of the study required the development of a special program, which provided its implementation in six organizational stages, using adequate methods, each of which performed interrelated tasks, that allowed to provide a systematic approach to the study and obtain representative results for assessment of the study object. In the course of a comprehensive medico-social study, a set of problems in the organization of medical care for the population of Sumy region with diseases of the blood and blood-forming organs was identified. Basing on the results obtained during the study, an optimized functional and organizational model of providing hematological medical care at the agricultural level in the context of reforming the country’s health care system was substantiated and developed.
