The object of research is the historical aspects of the development of physical culture and sports movement in Dnipropetrovsk region. The subject of research is historical, organizational-methodical, socio-economic, material and technical factors of development of physical culture and sports movement in Dnipropetrovsk region. The purpose of the work - theoretical justification and determination of the main factors of development of physical culture and sports movement as a factor influencing the system of training athletes and the formation of theoretical scientific knowledge of theoretical and methodological foundations of the training system of athletes. Research methods. The following research methods were used to solve this goal: - analysis of scientific and methodological literature and program and regulatory documents (domestic and foreign sources); - analysis and system of theoretical material; - axiomatic, idealization, logical, ascent from the concrete, formalization. - systematic and historical (at the level of comparative-historical, historical-genetic and historical-typological) analysis. During the reporting period, the direction of scientific research was determined on the planned topic - historical principles of development of physical culture and sports movement in Dnipropetrovsk region, namely socio-economic, organizational and methodological, personnel and material conditions that influenced the development of physical culture and sports movement in Ekaterinoslav region (Dnipropetrovsk region). . On the topic of the research were published: 1 article in a scientific publication, which is included in the list of scientific professional publications of Ukraine. 1 methodical recommendations are developed.
