Determination of the residual life of load-bearing metal structures of locomotives using the results of technical diagnostics allows to ensure that, at least during the validity of the certificate, load-bearing metal structures of the product will withstand normalized loads during operation (scheduled inspections, maintenance, repairs, etc.). The use of test results of a typical representative locomotive (with the longest service life and with the worst indicators of technical condition of load-bearing metal structures) and extrapolation of test results for the whole batch of locomotives helps to reduce certification time and reduce the applicant's financial costs for certification.
