Personalization of the treatment and development of new biologically active substances in optimization of pharmacotherapy of a few socially important diseases popup.stage_title Head Antonenko Petro В., д.мед.н. Registration Date 07-12-2021 Organization Odessa National Medical University popup.description2  Among the patients with pulmonary tuberculosis (TB), the “intermediate metabolizers” according to CYP3A4 *1B genotype was more often observed than among healthy volunteers. In individuals with “slow metabolizers” genotype of CYP3A4*1B the treatment outcome was quite better, than in “rapid metabolizers”. Thus in “slow metabolizers” according to CYP3A4*1B and CYP3A4*1G genotype the initial hepatic function was better than in other patients. completion of in-patient stage of anti-TB treatment the level of cytolysis and toxicity indexes was much higher than in fast metabolizers. That is why detection of CYP3A4*1G genotype of TB patients at the beginning of TB treatment could help to recognize a group of the individuals with increased risk of liver injury during therapy. That is why the “slow metabolizers” genotype is a prognostic sign of putative hepatotoxicity during anti-tuberculosis therapy.
