Three variants of the scanning system design are considered: one system without a core on the basis of a saddle-shaped coil and two systems with ferrite cores. For all three variants the design documentation according to the optimum parameters received in the course of calculations is developed. Simulation of the dynamics of the electron beam in the scanning process showed that all three variants of the scanning system meet the conditions given in the technical task regarding the requirements of the raster size. But the analysis of the possibility of implementing the considered options showed that the first option does not meet the requirements for the geometric dimensions of the scanner. Option with a ferrite core in the form of a quadrupole is difficult to implement due to the high cost of manufacturing the core. The most acceptable version of the scanning system with a ferrite core in the form of a torus. A distinctive feature of electron beam scanning in additive technology installations is the need to control the beam scanning according to a given program.
