The purpose of the work is to determine the decisive factors of the aging of BM of MCP of VVER-1000 reactors, to develop a methodology for forecasting the resource of BM of MCP. The research method is a study by direct methods of samples of BM of MCP that are in long-term operation. The analysis of the general principles of the methodology of metal resource forecasting in relation to pipelines during long - term operation is carried out. It is shown that the properties of BM of MCP of the 3rd unit of the South-Ukraine NPP (SU NPP) after 200 thousand hours of operation meet the regulatory requirements, the destruction of samples during experiments is viscous. A comprehensive analysis of the results of research by direct methods of BM of MCP of SU NPP after 100 and 200 thousand hours of operation. It is shown that during the first 100 thousand hours of operation BM of MCP strengthens. During the second 100 thousand hours of operation, the BM strength of most elements of the MCP decreases, the strengthening of the BM with a significant drop in rate is observed only in the elements of the MCP, which have the largest grain size in the initial state. Based on the obtained data, the forecast of the BM of MCP resource was performed, it was shown that the MCP elements with the smallest grain size are the most vulnerable.
