The aim of the research was a comprehensive experimental and theoretical study of the possibilities of obtaining new properties and new compounds by combining the chemical and structural design of multifunctional materials with external influences critical for these materials, such as temperature, pressure, irradiation, magnetic and electric fields. Chemical (synthesis, sintering, nanostructure production) and physical (magnetic, resonant, resistive, optical, X-ray methods using pressures up to 5 GPA) methods, as well as thermodynamic and microscopic calculation methods were used when performing the project. During experimental studies, modern equipment was used-SQUID, PPMS, EPR, Shimadzu UV-2101pc Spectrophotometer, Rigaku Synergy Custom FR-X diffractometer. Main results are: in theoretical terms, thermodynamics of the intermediate state of the spin transition under pressure is developed, and theoretical representations of the synergy of elastic energy and interactions during the spin transition are developed. New materials with useful properties were obtained and their behavior under external influences was established: pressure, irradiation, magnetic and electric fields.
