The dependences of shrinkage, porosity and density of the obtained composites on the sintering temperature are analyzed. It was found that the density of sintered at temperatures of 1300-1400 oC materials with a bond based on sol-gel is 0.57-0.63 g / cm3, and the porosity reaches 74%. Dependences of mechanical properties on sintering temperature are analyzed. The compressive strength was found to be 15.3 MPa for composites with a sol-gel bond and 51 MPa for composites with a nanostructured silica bond. It was found that the coefficient of thermal conductivity in the obtained samples of composite heat-protective material is at the level of 0.339-0.372 W / (m • K), which is lower in terms of specific indicators than in most known building materials.
