The main research methods will include consistent analysis of scientific and technical information on achievements in the field of continuous and semi-continuous steel casting in the conditions of metallurgical micro-plants, complexes, modules, etc. The project is a comprehensive study based on the use of modern methods of physical, mathematical modeling and industrial experiments. Execution of work involves physical modeling of metal mixing processes in the intermediate ladle, taking into account the main criteria of hydrodynamic similarity. Mathematical models based on the fundamental laws of conservation of mass, energy, momentum, equations of mathematical physics, known and proven mathematical methods will also be developed. The adequacy of the models will be assessed by comparing the results of mathematical modeling and theoretical research with industrial experiments. The results of the planned research can be used at various metallurgical enterprises, including the creation of new types of refractory products for the production of high quality steel grades.
