The anisotropy of POE and ELOE in these crystals, as well as in crystals of the langasite group LGS (langasite, La3Ga5SiO14) and CTGS (catangasite, Ca3TaGa3Si2O14) was studied. The maximum values of the photoelasticity effect were established for the studied crystals and the acousto-optical quality coefficient was estimated on their basis. The construction and fur¬ther analysis of extreme surfaces of the acousto-optical quality coefficient М2 for crystals of the langasite group (LGS and CTGS) was performed. The maxima of these surfaces are several times higher than the М2 of quartz crystal, which is acti¬vely used in acousto-optical devices in the UV range. The geometries of effective sections of acousto-optical cells based on these crystals are given. The results on the acousto-optical properties of the studied crystals are compared with the properties of known acousto-optical materials. Quantum-mechanical method was used to calculate the elasticity and photoelasticity coefficients of the LGS and A2BX4 groups crystals Product Description popup.authors Dem'yanyshyn Nataliya M.
